About The Event
The teaching of 21st century skills in language education has become fundamental. This workshop showcases how a focus on these skills in English language teaching can equip students with the knowledge, competences and attitudes to function more effectively in the contemporary world. After briefly considering the significance of education systems that equip students with the competencies, skills and values to live and work in a globalised, inclusive and interconnected world, the workshop provides participants with an understanding of some of the ways in which they can develop young people’s creativity, critical thinking, collaboration, and new literacies.
